Dr. Ofori was awarded with a scholarship by Dartmouth College and completed his undergraduate studies in a three year span. Dr. Ofori is a magna cum laude with high distinction in biological sciences. He was a rufus choate scholar at Darthmouth College during his last year of studies. He obtained his medical education at the Yale University School of Medicine. He was awarded an MD degree as well as a Master’s Degree in public health by Yale in 1979. At the Yale University School of Medicine, he won the John Fulton Prize in 1979. Dr. Ofori did his surgical internship at the Brown University affiliated hospitals. He received his neurosurgery training at the Harvard University Hospitals. He subsequently received further training in neurosurgery at the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford University England.

Dr. Ofori is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He is a fellow of the:

  • American College of surgeons

  • International College of surgeons

  • American Association of neurological surgeons

 

Dr. Ofori is a member of the American Medical Association and the Oklahoma State Medical Association.
